Canvas Studio

Formerly known as "Arc Video," Canvas Studio is a video creation tool and repository for original and videos imported from YouTube.  It is also a powerful platform for building interactivity into a video to sustain student attention spans and engagement with video content.  Canvas Studio videos by default contain a dialogue supporting discussions whose replies appears as clickable bubbles on the timeline.  An instructor may create an in-video quiz consisting of objective questions that appear onscreen when the playhead reaches the point of question insertion.  These quizzes may be installed within a Canvas assignment that is connected to the Gradebook.  Canvas Studio videos can be recorded by the instructor and shared privately with the student with timeline-based annotations as a critique of performance.  Students may also submit videos to an assignment via Canvas Studio; all student submissions appear in the Speedgrader and can be annotated by the instructor.
